Hong Kong

The small but otherwise rather comfortable room that I shared with my sister.

Eaton Hotel.

Hustle and bustle of Hongkong. Our view from the hotel room.

Dad and sis on one of the streets @ Mongkok. (below)

eyland - "Here you leave today and enter the world of yesterday, tomorrow and fantasy."

Nothing great but the

Christmas Parade kinda made the atmosphere rather chrismasy.

Do you believe in fairytales?

"And here, the prince and his princess lived happily ever after...."

Posing rather relunctantly with Goofy. Guess which

cartoon character(s) had the longest queue?

Disneyland is indeed a children's haven.

Who is this man? Excuse me, do I even know you?

Macau. Home of yummy portuguese egg tarts, almond biscuits and of course their famed Casinos..

"Medicine, No Fakes". An attempt to assure its own people that they don't sell fake medicine.

Ruins of St Paul's Church. Postcard perfect shot.

Macau Tower. The 10th highest freestanding tower in the world.

"Why live on the edge when you can jump off it...?"

The Peak is really pretty breathtaking...

TV production

I've always been intrigued by TV production. I remember when I was doing my diploma in Mass Communications, we had a module called "televison and radio production". That was one module I really enjoyed because our assignment required us to write a news script and then present it in a mock news studio with full recording. We learnt about the various roles in a production team - from the camera persons, to the executive producer, the floor manager, the lighting & sound crew etc and we took turns to role-play. It was quite a satisfying experience when we watched our news broadcast.

Recently, there have been much hype surrounding mediacorp's latest production "the little nyonya" (jeanette aw rocks). Everyone is talking about it. I had lunch at Crystal Jade the other day and I overheard a group of office executives having a serious discussion about the plot - from how obnoxious zhen zhu is, to the evil deeds of robert zhang & dad, to who chen xi should end up with, everyone seems to have something to share about it.I find it even more amusing when I hear my customers talking about it over lunch and dinner with their friends.

I have the greatest admiration for script-writers. The script is the backbone of a good tv programme/movie and without it, no matter how good the actors or actresses may be, the programme will lack that bit of oomph. From visualising to conceptualising, and finally putting it down into words, that process is something really awesome. And of course, you'll then need good actors/actresses to give life to the story..

Then again, wasn't it Shakespeare who said all the world's a stage? Who's your scriptwriter? And how is your story unfolding?

I have such confusing thoughts sometimes that I don't know why I even bother to write it out.

Dim Sum Delights

Oct. 24th, 2008

There is a verse in John8:32 of the bible saying, "....and the TRUTH will set you FREE". Have you ever wondered what this truth was and how knowing this truth can set you free? Have you also heard people saying that the truth hurts? If the truth was meant to set you free, why should it hurt.. right?

I think I finally know why.

The actualisation of that hurt have jolted me up from my deep slumber. The pain of knowing the truth have opened my mind that all these while, I might have foolishly believed something good was going to come out of it but apparently, it was not. Perhaps now I can be set free from this mental torture I am allowing myself to go through. I ought to be kinder to myself. I am not that unworthy right?

Miscommunication happens when the receiver interprets the message not as what the sender originally intended for it to be. I might have failed to notice the underlying meanings in those messages. It could also be, that i was mis-led to have interpreted the message as I have interpreted it.

Do You Know?

Do You Know ©

Do you know?

that whenever you're down,

I always wish I was the one

who could take away your frown?

Do you know?

that whenever you cry,

I always wish I was the one

to wipe away the tears from your eyes?

Do you know?

that whenever you smile,

Even if it's just for a second

the wait is all worthwhile?

Do you know?

that whenever I think about you,

I think about how far we're apart

and how it can never be just us two?

Do you know?

that though the times we're together are few

I always enjoyed those special moments

just being next to you?

Do you know?

that I've been wanting to know

if I have a place in your heart

though it's obvious the answer will be a no?

Do you?

Do you?

Do you know?
